Climate Action & Environmental Conservation
Climate change and environmental degradation pose serious threats to food security, health, and livelihoods in Agago District. Widespread deforestation, charcoal burning, and unsustainable farming practices have left large areas of land bare and vulnerable.
We promote nature-based solutions and climate-smart practices that restore ecosystems and build community resilience. Our interventions include:
-
Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) for restoring tree cover
-
Tree planting drives and school-based greening campaigns
-
Community education on sustainable land and water management
-
Agroforestry training and promotion of organic farming
-
Climate change dialogues and advocacy for environmental policy implementation
Our goal is to help communities live in harmony with nature while securing their future livelihoods.
